The Trip of my Life (by Iris López Álvarez)

We didn't believe that after so long we would get the long-awaited trip to London. when we were about to leave, we found out that several teachers could not go. Luckily, others offered themselves. The airports were overwhelmed by snow and with the probability of canceling the trip. In the end we managed to get to the airport, with the previous nervousness for the flight, since for many it was the first time. There were some issues about the weight of the suitcases and luckily we are good companions and among all we got to take everything we wanted. On top of that, our flight was late and we were getting pessimistic. On the plane and taking off we already believed that our trip was beginning.

It was a smooth flight, with many photos and laughs; we were all satisfied with the seat and the companions with whom we had been assigned. The first thing we saw was the snow, which was happiness for us, because we thought of a snow fight. We took our suitcases and we had two long hours by bus where some got dizzy, because they sat on the backward-facing seats. We had a guide and we stopped to take photos and have a first contact with London.

The arrival at the hotel was the most desired, when we saw our rooms we went to inspect the others, and we enjoyed the night without resting much, but we did not know what was coming our way.
The first day, at breakfast we tried to try the typical things there, but many of us gave up and ended up having the basics for breakfast every day. We walked a lot that day and we were all exhausted, although the places we visited made things better. The nights in the hotel were pleasant, since something always happened, some very strange situations. For example, one day we were asking Pilar asking for some band-aids in the corridor and suddenly a lady who must have been deranged, began to hit the door until it was broken. Luckily, a security guard arrived and I didn't get any more because the next day she was leaving. What stood out the most for me were the noises that were heard one night in my room, and thanks to my roommates were able to rest comfortably all in the room.
We were not the only language trip. First, we met some Irish people, with whom we spoke to improve our English, and then other youngsters from Andalusia. All the places we visited were spectacular. As the days went by, sleep and fatigue increased and we could not take advantage of the sights, like Harrods or the British Museum. What we are going to remember the most are the injuries with which we learned to speak English at the reception, the Indian shop and above all,  the return flight, where many of us thought we would die. We even called our families goodbye.
I thank my classmates, the boys next door because when we needed something they helped us, even if it was to untie some shoelaces, and the teachers. I take many things from the trip, but above all the laughter, the good humour, the good relationship with my classmates and with the teachers, because we were a very large group and they made us want to repeat.
For me it was a unique experience and in a place that I have always wanted to visit. Although it's fine to go on vacation for a few days, but I don't see myself living there, because it's a huge change, which is noticeable in the people, in the food and in the environment.
Of the places we visited, what I liked the most was the Sky Garden, because of the beautiful views, and it is difficult to decide because the Tower Bridge, the Big Ben, both the M&MS and LEGO stores, among others, were spectacular places.
